Common questions.
Is it really free?
Yes. Recipez is free to download and the core scan-and-recipe flow doesn't require an account. We may add premium features later, but the basics stay free.
Do I have to type my ingredients?
Nope — the app uses your camera. Point it at your open fridge and it identifies what's in there automatically. Typing is just a fallback.
Which stores does the cart work with?
Currently Walmart. We picked them first because their Add-To-Cart service is public — meaning we can pre-load your entire shopping list with one tap. More stores coming.
Does it handle allergies and diets?
Yes — set your allergies (peanuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish, etc.) and recipes automatically exclude them. Filter by vegetarian, vegan, high-protein, low-cal, and more.
Where do my photos go?
Photos are sent to our AI service for ingredient detection and aren't stored after analysis. We don't have accounts, so we have nothing to associate them with.
